Minutes of the Annual General Meeting 2011 QTH: Panimoravintola, Suomenlinna, Helsinki, KP20LD Members List = Voting List Hans, OH2EA, member no. 1, Chairman Present: OH2EA - R OH0XX - R OH9UA - R OH1RX - R OH2KI - R OH2MAK - R
1. Opening of the meeting Mr. Chair opened the meeting 14:43z. 2. Election of the Chairman to the meeting Mr. Chair was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the meeting, while member no. 3 ordered “House Ale”. 3. Election of the secretary and scrutinizer(s) Untersecy was elected as secretary to the meeting and Olli/member no. 5. as the scrutinizer. 4. Approval of the agenda Agenda was approved.
5. Consideration whether the meeting has been duly conveyed and has quorum Meeting was considered to have been called properly and since Mr. Chair is present, Club Meetings have always a quorum.
6. Preparation of the voting list After some technical consulting on the subject “what is voting list” the voting list was approved as the Members List above.
7. Opening remarks - one by one: all members (includes non-radio activities)
OH2KI: Strawberries have been picked by HS0 gals. Night-shift strawberries are “free”. Daytime 3.5€ … 4€ per case. OH0XX: 5 year project reached its culmination during 2011. OH1RX: Personal CO2 footprint smallest in 20 yrs – a subjective scale. OH9UA: Busy retirement: 4wks ago DU1, 3. wks ago Naruska OH9, 2 wks ago Pyhäjoki OH8, 1 wk ago London G4, and now Suomenlinna OH2, next week DU1 agn! huh. OH2MAK: “ We are in OH2, on an Island, all well = BEER!” OH2EA: Eating healthy, eating well. [whatever it means in practise…]
8. Presentation of the annual report : activities and achievements during the dx year 2010-2011
OH0XX: 5 yrs ago a letter to ARRL / LoTW: 4 wks ago “Olle saw the light”. Now 180k QSOs (several CS) produced 45k QSLs, 80k 8R1RPN produced 40k QSL. = done! OH1RX: no. 1 in LZDXC in the Philippines as DX7X. OH2KI: Kazakshtan DX Constest OH Champion. ST0R South Sudan in the log during the 1st hours of QRV. OH2MAK: QSO – NEST (a.k.a. “QSO-PESÄKE”) in Pallastunturi/Lappland accomplished. GND ok. Air power line removed = room for antennas. Benches (not Benchers) @ Pesäke treated with special Bench Salve. + hunting license for Luomuliha now valid => Member no. 3 invited himself for Mommola Deer Hunt. Recorded. + Lasse broken a “glass roof” at work – whatever that is.
OH9UA: 20 yrs QRT is over. 3 x activity in DU7.
OH2EA: 65yrs and still allve Still Top in CW Honor Roll. New Certificate achieved in HS –land. Chair is now “Mr. Tai Chi QiGong ShibashiMaster of all OH”.
9. Nomination of the Club Member of the year 2011 A hectic and most lively discussion was held on the merits of several candidates that clearly show how age and BXDClub activitiy correlate very well. Each year older, each year more active!
Resolution: Member no. 6, having broken the loooong QRT period of 20 years, was nominated with applaudes as The Club Member of the Year 2011!

10. Resolution of the date and QTH for AGM 2012. Since the QTH is always a question of mood, weather, sun spots and as a minor thing; DXing, it was agreed to fix only the dater of the AGM2012 being the 21st July AD 2012.
QTH to be decided in coming (hopefully many) EGM before next summer.
11. Other matters We could not find a single one. 12. Closing remarks By all: - It a sign of wisdom to sit in a pub for beer rather than watch road racing (no. 8) - strange odd coffee was ordered 2 x (no. 5) - Cognac ban is on (Chair – of all the people!) - HK0NA is already in the log, 6 months ahead of time (no. 8) - Nach Terrassen (no. 2) - Very good meininki (no. 6) “Remarks are hereby closed” (Chair) at 17:28UTC.
